Pediatric Home Care Nursing a Must for Seriously Ill or Injured Kids
Children who have been seriously ill or injured may benefit from specialized therapy as well. For example, pediatric occupational therapy may be needed to help kids improve their cognitive or physical abilities and to develop a greater level of self-esteem when they have experienced a setback because of an illness or injury. Others may require physical therapy to improve motor skills or to overcome physical limitations. In some cases, a therapist may travel to your home upon request, but many therapists provide treatment in their offices in order to have access to a full range of equipment that may benefit the young patient.
